What if managing hundreds of timeclocks across multiple sites required nothing more than asking a question? We’re making that possible through GT Labs, our new innovation program – and we’re inviting our largest partners to help shape the future.

Making Complex Data Simple

Through our GT Labs initiative, we’ve introduced the GT Connect AI Assistant – bringing large language model (LLM) technology directly into our cloud software for testing and evaluation. It functions as having a workforce management expert built into the platform, ready to surface intelligence and simplify complex operations.

The GT Connect AI Assistant is powered by our Model Context Protocol (MCP) service, which enables natural language interactions tailored specifically for the GTConnect ecosystem. Instead of navigating through menus and dashboards, users can simply ask questions and receive instant, actionable answers.

Real Impact for Strategic Partners

“GT Labs allows us to test useful AI in GTConnect, potentially reducing the user learning curve by up to 70%,” says Simon Poole-Anderson, VP Technology. “It delivers actionable analysis from large datasets in seconds via our LLM and MCP infrastructure. This is the foundation for agentic workflows, and our largest customers are already on this journey with us.”

This technology addresses a fundamental challenge in workforce management: extracting meaningful understanding from vast amounts of device and attendance data. What previously required technical expertise and time can now be explored through simple conversational queries within the Labs environment.

A Focus on Edge Innovation

But our AI ambitions extend beyond the cloud platform. GT Clocks’ timeclocks are edge devices that must perform reliably even when web connectivity drops, which means managing biometrics at the edge requires a fusion of AI hardware and software capabilities.

“We’re pushing boundaries to deliver more AI value and capability to our customers, with exciting developments ahead,” Simon adds.

GT Labs: Invitation Only

It is important to note that the GT Connect AI Assistant is a preview feature running under the distinct terms of our GT Labs program.

GT Labs is an invite-only area for partners to provide feedback on innovations and is subject to different terms than the standard GT Connect platform. GT Labs features do not push to production under the normal GT Connect release process and may be capped or revoked at our discretion during this development phase. While we endeavor to support all users, our standard support commitments do not apply to Labs features.
