The certification confirms that GT Clocks protects client and business information by using a broad set of process, personnel, physical and technical security measures.

The company achieved its status on 23rd November 2021, and this internationally recognized standard specifies requirements for an organization’s information security management system (ISMS). The goal of ISO 27001 is to provide a framework of standards for how a modern organization should manage its information and data. Risk management is a key part of ISO 27001, ensuring that a company understands where its strengths and weaknesses lie. This is an essential step in managing and protecting its customers’ data.

Colin Leatherbarrow, President, explains:

“As our business continues to grow from strength to strength, the ISO 27001 status demonstrates to our customers our excellent reputation for security. Earning this accreditation is part of our ongoing commitment to protecting information relating to both our clients and our people.

It also provides our customers with the assurance that we meet industry best practices and that the processes we use adhere to these high standards. The entire GT Clocks team has worked tirelessly to adhere to these standards and meet the stringent ISO guidelines.”

Another major factor of ISO 27001 is how it helps to avoid security threats. This includes both cybercriminals breaking into the organization and data breaches caused by internal factors making mistakes. ISO 27001’s framework ensures that staff have the tools in place to strengthen their organization across the three pillars of cyber security: people, processes and technology.

Not only that, ISO 27001 helps the organization to be compliant with regulations and avoid costly penalties associated with non-compliance to data protection requirements.

Compliance has added benefits for the business as it demonstrates to its customers that it takes information security seriously, and internally, it maintains focus on information security tasks and drives continuous improvement.

This achievement validates the commitment of GT Clocks to having the controls and robust framework in place to ensure products and services are handled and delivered in a secure, high-quality way.
